best restaurant in Las Vegas
Like a toque-wearing Moses, Andre Rochat parted the waves of Las Vegas price range buffets in 1980, bringing the cuisine of his local France to a culinary arts desert. Rochat has since added Andre's at the Monte Carlo and Alizé at the Palms. However his provincially decorated flagship in a 1930s-era downtown house-with four cozy dining rooms, each symbolizing a different French city and embellished by using lots of wood, tapestries, and also soft lighting-is still going strong, owing in part to a menus that has both equally classic French meals such as coquilles Saint Jacques (scallops in a wine-enriched cream sauce) and many with updated twists, like grilled quail with figs and prosciutto. Entrée prices start in the mid-30s.
